The bench behind
the chair.

A specialised dental laboratory in Sedgehill Crescent, Cape Town. We are the step between your impression and your patient’s result — and we think that step deserves to be visible.

Who we are

Small enough to
answer for it.

Inline Dental is a specialised laboratory, not a volume one. We assist dentists in their treatment plans by offering laboratory services that range from a simple single crown to a more complex full mouth rehabilitation — crown and bridge, chrome cobalt, acrylic and flexible dentures, orthodontic appliances and custom mouth guards, all made here in Ottery.

Size is the whole point. A case that passes through twenty pairs of hands belongs to nobody in particular. A case that passes through six belongs to all of them. So when you phone about a unit that is not seating, you are not describing it to a coordinator reading a job number off a screen — you are talking to the person who built it, and they remember your case.

We have also introduced a pick-up and delivery service, so a case can be collected from your practice and returned to it without anyone driving across Cape Town.

What we hold to

Four things we
do not move on.

Every laboratory says it cares about quality. These are the four places where that actually costs us something, which is the only reason they are worth stating.

Digital where it wins

Scanning, design and milling give repeatable margins and fits that hand work cannot match at scale, so we use them for exactly that. The lab is CAD and CAM driven today and on the verge of bringing digital production fully in-house.

Analogue where it matters

A mill will not decide how light sits on an incisal edge, or how a chrome should be polished so a patient stops noticing it is there. Every case ends at a bench, under a technician’s eye, however it started.

Say what is in it

Precious metal, non-precious alloy, zirconia, lithium disilicate, acrylic. Work comes back with a note of the material used, because the clinician placing it and the patient wearing it are both entitled to know.

Query it before we build it

If a prescription does not read clearly, if a margin is short, or if the shade does not match the plan, we phone you. A remake costs you a patient appointment and costs them another morning off work. A question costs a phone call.

Capability

Including the work
most labs pass on.

Immediate load dentures and temporary crowns placed in the same surgical sitting. Obturators for patients with oral deformities. Hybrid titanium dentures on a milled bar. Full mouth rehabilitation in tooth, soft tissue or implant support. And fully custom mouth guards, including extreme contact specifications.

We also cast chrome frameworks for other dental laboratories — which is a reasonable indication of what our chrome work is like. Every device is adequately checked and goes through quality control before it is dispatched.

Working with us

What that means in practice.

The three things a practice actually feels, week to week.

  • Pick-up & delivery

We collect the case from your practice and bring the finished work back, so nobody on your side loses a morning to driving.

  • One lab, the whole plan

From a single crown to a full mouth rehabilitation, including implant and orthodontic work. You are not splitting a treatment plan across three suppliers.

  • You reach a technician

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, the phone is answered by someone who works at a bench — not a call centre reading a job number off a screen.

Come and see

The lab is open to clinicians.

If you would rather see where your work is made before you send any, that is a reasonable thing to ask. Call and arrange a time.
